Optimus 10.20 released
We are happy to announce that the Optimus Rev 10.20 has been released and is now available for download.
New Feature: With its release 10.20,
Optimus has increased the number of user-customizable interfaces (UCIs) introducing a new parser for HDF5 files. HDF stands for Hierarchical Data Format and is a set of file formats for storing and managing data. It supports an unlimited variety of datatypes, and it is designed for flexible and efficient I/O and for high volume and complex data. HDF is supported by many commercial and non-commercial software platforms (e.g. MATLAB, Nastran). The current version of the format is HDF5 which is the one supported by the new Optimus Output UCI.
Optimus Rev 10.20 also comes with several improvements in stability and performance enhancements.
As regards the interfaces, ANSYS Workbench interface is supported and tested up to version 18.2. A new advanced parameter has been added to the ANSYS input interface for automatic zipping of files during parallel runs, ANSYS HPC and when using experiment numbering. A new action interface is available for CREO. This new CREO interface gives the possibility to export geometries in different formats The NX interface in Optimus 10.20 covers NX 11 and NX 12 and contains several bug fixes and improvements for version 10.
Other interfaces have been significantly upgraded to provide more functionality and better compatibility such us for Excel, Maxwell, RomaxDESIGNER, NASTRAN, Abaqus with the support to version 2017, and SOLIDWORKS with the support to version 2017 and 2108.
Optimus 10.20 also has a new updated version of two intelligent algorithms: ADOE and NAVIRUN which are now at their version 2.0. With these smart methods which work in close collaboration, Optimus 10.20 keeps bringing Design Space Exploration and Engineering Optimization within reach of non-experts.
